About the IKT

The mission of the Institute is to promote and facilitate the generation and transfer of knowledge to organisations and individuals that need it.

This is achieved in a number of ways -

• By supporting the professionalisation of the knowledge transfer community by recognising expertise, experience and excellence


• By participating in and coordinating applied research and commercialisation projects, particularly those involving international collaborations


• By providing opportunities (through KES International) to publish case studies, examples of best practice and knowledge transfer mechanisms, tools and methods.
